Copper State Tattoo is located in the heart of central Phoenix. Our studio is bright, clean, and colorful. Our walls are covered from floor to ceiling with tattoo art and flash, paying homage to all parts of tattoo history. Much of the art is unique and hand painted by us or our friends and contemporaries. Our open floor plan is designed to maintain a clean, safe environment that also allows everyone to see and enjoy the work we do daily. With the visual representation of an old time tattoo parlor and the work of steadfast and proficient artists, Copper State Tattoo offers an unmatched tattoo experience.

TEBORI IREZUMI- The Japanese hand-carved tattoo.                                                            Copper State Tattoo is the home of Alex Empty, aka Phoenix Horitaka, who tattoos using the traditional method of hand poking for Japanese tattoos.  Alex has studied in Japan, and was given his title in 2017. His studies are continuous, and he visits with his colleagues and friends in Japan to learn more of this ancient art.
